Rebuilding homes, schools, and lives of our scholars and their communities
** Updates **
As you have most probably heard by now, Nepal was rocked by two major earthquakes measuring 7.9 and 7.3 on April 25, 2015 and May 12, respectively. The death toll has climbed above 8,600 with millions left functionally homeless with some estimates that more than quarter million houses have been destroyed. The damage has been severe, but our response has been swift in providing our community members of their basic necessities like food, shelter, and water along with other critical services like health & wellness support.
Our immediate relief efforts:From Rescue to Relief – what lies ahead for earthquake survivorsMobile Health CampThrough our wonderful local partner organizations A School for Community (ASC) and Manmohan Hospital in Pharping, and others we will continue to provide these services along with efforts to help rebuild damaged community schools and homes in this community.
The road to recovery will be long and arduous, however, our perseverance and the kindness of our friends and neighbors will get us through. Anything you can give now will go towards saving lives and taking care of the injured. We will need all the help we can get in order to get through this tragedy. Thank you, |
Our goal: $30,000NOTE: We have recently revised our goal from $10,000 to $30,000 due to the support required to help rebuild community schools.Thank you for your generous support.[dgx-recognition-wall fund="Earthquake relief fund"]
