Her favorite subject is Economics. She wants to be a Social Worker.

She lives with her mother, aunt, brother, and grandfather. Deepika’s father died when she was very young and her mother is now the sole income earner for the house. She sells vegetables at the local market, while her aunt helps with household chores. Deepika also helps her mother sell vegetables and she also has to look after her brother and grandfather. Deepika is inspired by the teachers at school and she is also inspired by her mother who has taken care of the family despite many difficulties. Deepika graduated from Shikharapur in 2014. She wants to become a social worker to be able to help poor families like her own.
