Aarti Moktan

Aarati Moktan lives in Sisneri Village in the Makawanpur District. In her family of 5 she is the oldest child. She has a younger sister and brother. Her father, Mr. Sunjit Moktan is a driver and her mother, Nirmala Moktan looks after the house and small farm. Her father’s work is the sole source of income for the family, which is not enough to support everything as well as education for the family.

Despite the family’s financial challenges, Aarati is very fond of reading books and learning. She also helps her mother a lot by doing the daily household chores, especially in the kitchen. Even though she has to walk more than an hour to get to school, she really enjoys it. Her favorite subject is Science, but she really loves to dance.
