Alisha Ghatani

Alisha loves going to school and is very passionate about learning. She is currently in Grade 8 and her favorite subject is Science. She enjoys reading books and anything related to science. Alisha and her three sisters are supported by her father’s income and the little money their mother makes from their small shop selling fruits and vegetables. Having four daughters, life is more challenging for the Ghatani family.

In a society still dominated by men, Alisha and her sisters will have to work hard in order to get an education. Alisha is the eldest and wants to set an example for her younger siblings by excelling in school. Despite the economic hardships, Alisha aspires to be a teacher and hopes to help girls like her and her sisters get an education.
