Sonu Tamang
Sonu is one of the original 10 girls who started in this program. Sonu lives in house of five with her parents and grandparents. Her father earns a living by working as a gardener. Because her family do not own any land or livestock they face many difficulties paying for her education.
Sonu is the only Scholar from Shikharapur School who took exams in 2015 and got a First Division on her SLC. She is excited to start her college life and is planning to study Hotel Management in the future.
